Where Strength Becomes Confidence
At Aurelia Collective, we believe movement is a way to come back to yourself. Our approach is rooted in intention, prioritizing quality, precision, and a deeper connection to how your body moves and feels.
We created Aurelia to offer something more personal than traditional fitness. Through thoughtfully designed sessions and elevated experiences, we focus on helping you build strength in a way that is sustainable, aligned, and uniquely your own.
At the core of what we do is a simple goal: to help you feel confident and strong in your body. Not just during a session, but in the way you move through your day, carry yourself, and show up in your life. Every experience is designed to support that, refining movement, building resilience, and creating a stronger connection to yourself.
Meet The Co-Founders
Alexa Silverstein
Alexa Silverstein is a co-founder who fell in love with Pilates after 16 years of dance, seeking a form of movement that felt just as intentional and connected. Her journey took on deeper meaning after experiencing two difficult pregnancies complicated by hyperemesis gravidarum, including a placental abruption during her second pregnancy that required intensive care and at-home oxygen.
Following back-to-back pregnancies, Alexa felt physically depleted and determined to rebuild her strength. She turned to intentional movement, focusing on core and abdominal work to heal her body and restore stability. Pilates became a key part of that process, helping her regain strength, energy, and confidence so she could fully show up for her family.
Her experience inspired her to co-found the business and create a space where others can reconnect with their bodies and build strength in a supportive, meaningful way.
Outside of her work, Alexa owns a data consulting firm and enjoys traveling, long walks, knitting, baking, and spending time with her husband and children, who are the center of her life.
Nicole Girkin
Nicole Girkin is a co-founder, student at The Ohio State University, and a passionate advocate for healing through movement. Her Pilates journey began as a way to address unexpected weight gain and strengthen her spine, but it quickly became something much more meaningful.
After being diagnosed with scoliosis and PMOS, Nicole immersed herself in understanding her body and finding sustainable ways to feel stronger and more balanced. Pilates became a powerful tool in that process, supporting not only her physical strength and posture but also her mental well-being and sense of self.
Her ongoing health journey inspired her to co-found the business and create a space where others can incorporate Pilates into their own lives, no matter where they are starting.
Outside of her work, Nicole enjoys hiking, baking, reading, dancing, traveling, exploring art, and playing piano.
